Are you looking to kick start your career in the business industry while completing a formal qualification? This is your chance. We are searching for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join this busy and friendly team located in Canberra CBD. Gain valuable hands on experience while gaining a qualification in Business Administration.
The Role
As a Business Trainee some of your duties will include;
- Working in 2 high end government offices
- Administration duties - data entry and clerical duties
- Mail duties and sorting deliveries for 2 government offices
- Assisting with setting up meeting rooms
- Reporting building maintenance issues as required
- Maintaining clean and safe office environment
What we are looking for:
We are searching for someone who is motivated, eager to learn and able to commit to a 12 month traineeship.
If you have the following skills we would love to hear from you;
- Previous experience in customer service is an advantage
- Outstanding communication skills
- Enthusiasm to learn
- Positive work ethic
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Great team work skills
- Due to the nature of the position you will need to undertake a security clearance and be a minimum of 18 years old
Benefits for you
This is an amazing opportunity that will see you stepping into a corporate role. You will be working towards Cert 3 Business and be given time at work each week to put towards your studies. MEGT will cover the cost of the qualification and you will have the support of a field officer who will visit you on site on a regular basis. You will also be given a student concession card.
Please note that if you have completed qualifications higher than a certificate 3 including university studies in Australia or overseas you will not be eligible to undertake a traineeship.
