The Role

Jump start your career and join the team at Pickles as a Cashier/Administration Officer at our Acacia Ridge branch. The role is a part – time, fixed term contract position for 6 months. the hours/days of work are Wednesday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm.

Reporting to the Administration Manager you will be:

  • delivering an exceptional customer experience to all vendors and buyers from the Cashier's office;
  • processing sale transactions in line with Pickles procedures; 
  • responding to all inquiries;
  • following up on all unpaid invoices within one working day from Day of Sale and entering relevant Notes against each buyer's outstanding invoice;
  • escalating unpaid invoices to the Administration Manager where required; and
  • ensuring compliance with the cash office procedures.

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Previous cash handling and EFTPOS experience is essential
  • Bank Teller experience (desired but not essential)
  • Excellent customer service - we talk to so many different types of customers and we need a great rapport builder!
  • Able to work effectively as part of a close knit team as well as independently 
  • At least 12 months’ experience in an administration role   
  • Competent oral & written communication skills
  • Flexible, reliable and well-presented and exceptional attention to detail
  • Efficient; organised & able to prioritise competing tasks
