The Client:
Our Client has been trading for many years and is a small, progressive machinery supply company located in Silverwater. They are industry leaders and well known in supplying capital equipment to a very wide cross-section of the Australian manufacturing industry.
They are currently looking for an Administrative Assistant All-rounder who is more than capable of providing administrative and clerical assistance, support to their managers and staff members and managing our clients overall general activities.
The Role:
• Answering and directing phone calls to relevant staff and being the first point of contact
• Processing, receipting and directing mail and incoming goods and dispatch of outgoing goods and mail
• Data entry of Purchase Orders and Supplier Invoices into MYOB
• Scheduling meetings and appointments
• Preparation of documents for business trips and meetings
• Ordering and taking stock of office supplies
• Researching and booking travel arrangements for staff members
• Filing and archive management
• Updating and maintaining databases
What you need:
• Ability to interact confidently with staff and external clients at all levels
• Flexible, initiative and strong work ethic
• Proven experience in a similar role, particularly with experience in a small team environment
• Good communication skills both written and verbal
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Accounts payable/ Accounts receivable experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Suite, Xero (ideal) and Maximizer (not mandatory but bonus – can be taught)
• Ability to work autonomously and as a team member
• Attention to detail, punctual and reliable
• Own car is compulsory as it is not near public transport
