Chandler Macleod is pleased be partnering with this prestigious and well respected Sydney golf club. They are looking to appoint an accomplished General Manager to lead the organisation through an exciting period in their long and proud history.

With a number of improvement and change initiatives underway, the new General Manager will take a lead role in delivering these outcomes to the club and its members.

Reporting to the club board of directors, you will be responsible for:

• Controlling the finance function of the club, insuring the P&L is managed correctly and that the relative controls are in place

• Administering the golfing operations of the club, as well as overseeing golf course development and maintenance.

• Implement strategies to retain existing members and to grow the membership.

• Oversee the F&B operations which will include functions, and bar and food service to members and guests.

• Oversee staff management, which will include selection and development of staff. This role has five direct reports.

• Be responsible for legislative compliance so corporate governance is at a high level.

• Work closely with the board to implement the clubs strategic plan.

The ideal applicant will need to be outcome focused, able to demonstrate a high level of commercial acumen and possess strong communication skills.

• Stakeholder engagement and management are also critical to this role.

• A proven track record in leadership is essential.

• Experience of managing membership experience at a leisure company or in the hospitality sector would be preferred.
