Assistant Site Manager - UC Camping
An exciting opportunity is now available for a passionate and experienced Assistant Site Manager in the field of camp amagement, outdoor education, and recreation.
About us
UC Camping is part of the Uniting Church in Australia Synod of Victoria and Tasmania. UC Camping manages six accommodation venues across Victoria. Our sites provide a broad range of groups (schools, clubs, special needs, faith based and cultural organisations)with unique opportunities to experience the outdoors, learn new skills, live as a small community and share time away
UC Camping operates several group accommodation venues in Halls Gap including Norval, Acacia and Wonderland Cottages for up to 300 guests.
The role
Living on-site in the heart of beautiful Halls Gap, you will assist in staff supervision and the day to day site operations. You will ensure compliance requirements are met and that the highest standards of safety including food handling and OHS are in place.
You will support venues and services committed to providing special camping experiences to individuals, families and groups. As a staff supervisor you will have excellent people skills and will enjoy being with people supporting, coaching and helping them grow.
To be successful in this role you will enjoy a busy and dynamic team based work environment. You will enjoy living on site and and be available to assist as required as part of an on-call roster.
You will also have:
- Tertiary qualifications in community development, outdoor education, education, business administration/project management and/or relevant discipline.
- At least 4 years’ experience in a similar role with proven experience supervising others
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)
