This is an ideal time to join a high growth industry. Oz Group Co-Op continues to expand its dynamic team and is seeking to appoint another Agronomist (Pest and Disease) to the Agronomy team.
This role reports directly to the Chief Agronomist.
Job tasks and responsibilities
The Agronomist (Pest and Disease) is required to provide support to ensure the growers abide by the respective state, national and international (for exports) laws and regulations for berry production and to escalate major issues and breaches to management as required.
The Agronomist (Pest and Disease) will be required to work alongside management and growers by assisting in the provision of workshops, presentations and information with the aim of facilitating growers to produce a consistent best practice berry crop.
Skills and experience
The Agronomist (Pest and Disease) must have the following qualifications/experience:
- Bachelor degree or diploma in Agriculture, Agronomy and crop science or Horticulture
- Experience in the food or agriculture industry is desirable
- Intermediate skill in Microsoft office Word and Excel Spreadsheet Models
- Flexibility to adapt to evolving team and environmental factors
- Current Drivers License
