An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Agricultural Consultant to join our committed team in Western Australia and bring their agribusiness skills to the table in this newly created role. You will be a leader in your field with a sound understanding of Agronomy and Agricultural Economics along with an ability to match products and services with relevant needs, thereby enhancing sales. Your proven organisational skills will make you a good planner assisting you to develop and sustain enduring customer relationships. High energy levels and a passion for agriculture and problem solving will allow you to thrive in an agile work culture.
THE POSITION
Reporting directly to the Branch Manager of the selected dealership location, we seek an Agricultural Consultant with an interest in understanding our customers challenges and practices.
You will be providing professional advice on how we can add value and demonstrate efficiencies regarding use and management of agricultural land combined with product, sales and service offering. You will be given clients and will be charged with establishing, developing and maintaining new relationships, promoting our products to them and delivering to a budget.
A typical day will involve information gathering, putting appraisals together, price negotiation, customer visits and consulting with the Product Managers and others within the business to maximize success for both parties.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
- A degree in Business or Science specialising in Agriculture or Agribusiness.
- A willingness to live in regional WA with extensive travel requirements.
- A basic understanding of Agricultural machinery application.
- Experience (2 years +) as a successful consultant in agriculture, sales and equivalent.
- Operate effectively in a team but equally adept at working autonomously.
- Handle multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines under pressure.
- Employ initiative in advice & sales to identify opportunities and find effective and innovative new solutions with a “can do” attitude.
- Impeccable communication, verbal, written and presenting. Natural networker.
- A competitive and driven attitude and passion for personalised customer service and problem solving.
- A valid WA driver’s license.
