About the business
The Costa Group is Australia's leading grower,packer and marketer of premium quality fresh fruit and vegetables.The Tomato Category is one of the core produce categories supplying tomatoes all year round to the large retail network and the wholesale market sector.
The primary production facilities are located in Guyra,in the northern tablelands of NSW (in close proximity to Armidale) with tomatoes grown in one of Australia's largest and most advanced glasshouse facilities.
About the role

We are now seeking to recruit a suitably experienced and qualified Business Operations Manager,to be based in Guyra and to lead glasshouse and pack house operations across a number of facilities with a focus on maximising yield and product quality to provide optimum sales opportunity whilst minimising cost and meeting the Business Unit objectives for safety,quality,people,finance and asset management and business improvement.
This position will report directly to the Business Unit GM.

Skills and experience
To be the successful applicant you will need to have:
- Proven senior operational experience including demonstrated success in building,managing and developing high performance leadership teams,driving business improvement initiatives and a thorough understanding of key business drivers.
- The ability to operate effectively in a team environment and across all levels of the Business Unit as well as the necessary skills to drive and implement business improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrated success in implementing business strategy and successfully achieving objectives in relation to identified KPI's.
- Excellent communication,negotiation and positive influencing skills.
- A sound understanding of fresh produce operations and associated activities together with knowledge of horticulture quality systems and fruit production standards.
- A relevant tertiary qualification will be highly regarded.
