We are a leading pet care business operating in the inner eastern suburbs of Melbourne. We are growing our services and looking for a relaxed, happy, animal care professional with previous experience in the pet industry.
Our dog training headquarters and grooming salon is located on North Road Ormond and we provide dog walking, pet feeding, home boarding, dog training and dog grooming to a fantastic group of clients that we have great relationships with. We are passionate about what we do and believe in delivering an unfaltering quality of care to all of our clients and their animals alike.

We are looking for a mature, responsible person who is fit, well presented, has good time management and can not only care for their charges to the highest of standards can also nurture client relationships.
Candidates with dog training qualification or equivalent will be considered favourably.
Experience with working with dogs is essential as the role requires exercising and socialising clients’ dogs in group situations in shared public spaces. Having theoretical knowledge of behavioural science is important for safe and effective animal handling as you will mostly be operating unaccompanied. You will be supported closely by a team of eleven other dog trainers and handlers and will report to the Head Trainer.

On the job training will be provided (approx 6-8 weeks). Successful police clearance check, employment reference checks, full manual drivers licence and experience in caring for companion animals is essential.
To be successful in this role you must have:

Proven experience within the pet care industry

Full (manual) drivers licence

Applied knowledge of canine behaviour

Police criminal history check
