Minderoo is proudly Australian, encompassing the Minderoo Foundation and the private business holdings of the Minderoo Group.  The Foundation was established in 2001 and is pursuing a number of causes including: the elimination of cancer, ending modern slavery, creating parity for Indigenous Australians, ensuring all children reach their full potential, supporting the arts and culture, higher education and community development.

We are currently seeking to appoint a Portfolio Manager to oversee and drive the Foundation’s early childhood development program.

The Role

  • Manage Minderoo’s major early childhood partnerships (international and within Australia) to deliver a number of flagship projects and objectives
  • Provide advice and support to the Minderoo CEO as the lead Foundation representative for the portfolio
  • Manage high level government relationships at the departmental, state and federal level
  • Play an advisory role for a number of initiatives being run internally and externally to Minderoo
  • Work closely with the external Project and Research Team delivering the Early Years Initiative
  • Identify advocacy and policy influence opportunities and develop and execute a strategy accordingly
  • Write speeches, media releases, policy and briefing papers
  • Manage all reporting and impact capture associated with the Portfolio

The Person

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (Allied Health, Public Policy, Community Development, Early Childhood Education, Education)
  • Proven experience in a project management role in a related field
  • Strong writing ability and impeccable communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and autonomously
  • Knowledge of and passion for philanthropy, community development and human rights
  • Understanding of government processes and ability to interpret policy matters
  • Confidence managing relationships with stakeholders across government and non government sectors
