ABOUT THE ROLE
The Child, Youth and Family Services Department is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Support Worker to support the Eastern Region Supported Residential Facilities program within UnitingSA. Located at 58 Dale Street Port Adelaide, we require a competent professional with experience in working with clients with complex and multiple issues that enjoys working in a busy environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting people to maintain their wellbeing, explore opportunities and work towards agreed outcomes
- Developing a practical understanding implementing a person’s individualized plan
- Working with stakeholders to support client outcomes
- Identifying and accessing community resources to support clients
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Extensive Community work experience and training
- Knowledge of NDIS system
- Minimum Cert IV in Community Services, disability support or equivalent (essential)
- Current SA driver’s license (essential)
- Current DHS clearances (Aged, Disability, Children) essential
You will also demonstrate a positive and professional "can-do" attitude, excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to work equally well as a member of a team or working alone.
