About the Role:
Full Time, Maximum Term Contract until 31 May 2020
Exciting New Service in Mascot!
Neami National’s WorkWell programs support recovery through open employment. There are currently three WorkWell programs across NSW. With the support from the Employment Services Manager and the WorkWell team, the Employment Specialist will work in the context of the Individual Placement and Support model (IPS); supporting the consumers working toward their individual employment goals. The principles of IPS are competitive employment, integration into a mental health team, individual preferences, zero exclusion, rapid-job search, job development, benefits counselling, and time-unlimited support.
Core duties
- Build relationships with local employers and support workers
- Create specific job development approaches based on individual preference
- Work closely with clinical case managers in order to deliver the best possible comprehensive service to consumers
- Collect, collate and maintain data on consumer contact
What will you bring to the role?
- Ability to work autonomously with a high degree of drive, initiative, motivation and outcome orientation.
- Relevant experience in a similar role
- Ability and willingness to work effectively as part of a team, to meet program goals and objectives.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
Mandatory requirements
- Current Working with Children Check
- Australian Working Rights
- Drivers licence
- Police check (refer to PD) – disclosable outcomes considered
