Permanent Part Time - 20 hours per week
Merriwa
The Role: Council is seeking a highly motivated individual to undertake the above position. The purpose of the position is to manage the Merriwa Youth Centre, coordinate programs for all Council Youth Centres and to plan and implement annual community and leadership youth activities as determined by the Youth Services Supervisor and Council. The position also involves providing early intervention services to young people and families as directed.
This position is a Mandatory Reporter role.
What You Will Need: All applicants must possess a Certificate IV in Youth Work (or equivalent) (or related discipline, or related field) and experience in a previous role as well as having experience running Youth Centres and social, recreational programmes. A Diploma in Youth Work, Welfare, Social Sciences, Teaching or related field would be highly regarded.
Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $1066.20 - $1194.10 per 38 hour week ($28.05 - $31.42 per hour), in accordance with Council’s salary system. Other conditions are in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award and Council’s policies and procedures.
