An exciting opportunity exists to make a difference to our Children & Young People's lives by joining our South Australia, Adelaide office in the position of Fostering Advisor in the Carer Recruitment team.

About the role

As a Fostering Advisor you will contribute to the recruitment process of prospective foster carers with regard to recruiting, assessing and training them, whilst delivering excellent customer service at all times. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining recruitment and marketing strategies to assist in the delivery of an effective foster carer recruitment strategy through assisting with the initial carer assessment processes and undertaking a range of marketing activities in consultation with the Recruitment & Panel Manager

Your main responsibilities will be 

  • To provide a timely, positive, professional and customer focused response to all initial enquiries received from prospective foster carers
  • To take a positive sales/customer orientated response to initial enquiries and ensure every effort is made to make contact with prospective foster carers 
  • To arrange and conduct where agreed, initial visits to prospective foster carers to assess their potential to foster  
  • Work within the Key Assets service level standards and KPI's
  • Comply with Key Assets policies and procedures and best practice guidance 
  • Where required, complie business reports and risk assessment practice 
  • And as a member of the recruitment team, you will contribute to and learn from 'best practice' processes and continue to develop the efficient customer focused experience of the operation of the carer recruitment process

Experience and Skills Required

  • Be highly energised and have a passion for delivering a high standard of service 
  • Be highly committed, resourceful and work to high standards
  • Be an accomplished communicator and possess exceptional 'attention to detail' skills 
  • Be able to adapt to high stress situations, work flexibly and be highly dependable 
  • Have extensive experience in PR & Marketing and customer relations, or similar
  • Previous experience of the Out Of Home Care / Foster Care sector, is desirable but not essential 
  • Experience of establishing new client groups, sales and/or customer service
  • Have a qualifications and or experience in PR & Marketing, 
  • Have a current Child Safe Environment certificate 
  • and will be required to undergo statutory and personal checks prior to commencement
