Yarra Plenty Regional Library is an innovative, progressive and effective library service and we are currently seeking an enthusiastic Branch Manager to join Thomastown Library on a full time, ongoing basis.
About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and energetic leader to take on the role of full time, permanent Branch Manager. Reporting to the Manager, Public Participation, the Branch Manager is responsible for ensuring quality library services by leading and motivating their branch team and managing the day to day operations to develop informed, connected, inclusive communities.
About You
We are looking for a highly motivated, proactive leader with well-developed management skills. Being a Branch Manager requires a flexible approach and the ability to lead, motivate and develop staff with strong persuasion and influencing skills.
As part of YPRL's Leadership Team, Branch Managers deliver initiative, accountability and customer service every day, as they go above and beyond for our customers and colleagues. The successful incumbent will also be able to demonstrate their capacity to build strong, productive networks and maintain professional relationships with people at all levels. Tertiary qualifications in Library and Information Management or significant Management experience is highly desirable.
