The Role
We are seeking a Youth Job Coach to join our Sydney South West Transition to Work (TtW) team, working across our Liverpool and Cabramatta offices. You will provide intensive case management to approximately 50 TtW participants, aged 15-21 years with a focus on the most disadvantaged youth with complex and multiple barriers. You will undertake detailed assessments, set reasonable and achievable goals and work with them to overcome non-vocational barriers and improve their vocational skills in order to assist in finding them suitable employment or educational placements. You will work closely with the Youth Employment Brokers identifying suitable vacancies or work experience opportunities in order to advocate on behalf of your suitable participants. This is a full time role on an ongoing basis.
What we're looking for
- Qualifications in youth work, juvenile justice, employment services, training, education or a similar area;
- Experience in the provision of youth and employment services, preferably in a case management role;
- Experience working in a performance based contract with individual targets;
- Excellent administration skills, attention to detail and computer literacy;
- A minimum typing speed of 30 wpm;
- A current driver’s licence; and
- Satisfactory National Police and NSW Working with Children clearance or willingness to attain.

This service provides intensive pre-employment support to improve the work readiness of early school leavers aged 15-21 to help them into work or education.
Remuneration
A competitive salary will be negotiated commensurate with skills and experience. By way of guidance the base salary will be in the range of $53K to $57K plus superannuation. As Workskil Australia is a public benevolent institution we can also offer a portion of the salary through tax effective salary packaging.
