Southern Districts Support is not-for-profit organisation, providing a broad range of services to seniors, people with a disability and their carers who wish to remain living independently at home.
We are seeking caring Community Support Workers with previous experience, to join our team to provide community based supports for clients living in their own homes, to help them to remain independent. We have various positions available and are looking for committed people who would be available for one or more of the following times:
Mon-Fri
- 7am – 3pm
- 3pm – 6pm
- In the Armadale to Bentley area
Weekends
- 7am-1pm
- 4pm – 7pm
- In the Armadale/Gosnells area
Flexibility with travel is required, with mileage and travel time paid.
Duties will include:
- Providing personal care to clients, which may include assistance with showering, dressing as well as other aspects of personal care
- Providing medication support
- Assisting client with all aspects of nutritional support
- Social support, including outings
- Domestic assistance to support clients to maintain their homes
- Providing in-home respite support
Essential
- Certificate III in Aged or Community Services
- Current First Aid certificate (or willing to obtain one)
- Medication Competency
- Previous experience in using hoists (weekend work)
- A valid non-provisional driving licence
- Access to a reliable safe vehicle appropriate to transport clients.
- All applicants must have a suitable National Police Certificate no older than 6 months or be willing to obtain one
Desirable
- Two years' experience in a community or residential aged care setting
