Westgate Community Initiatives Group Inc (WCIG) is a well-known, community based not for profit organisation that is committed to creating practical responses to unemployment in the western region of Melbourne and Geelong.
The Role:
WCIG is currently looking for a Community Engagement Specialist to join our growing team and be the driving force behind the delivery of our new Disability Program by engaging with schools and the local community. You will focus on connecting with organisations in the Westgate region. You will focus on community engagement and business development to promote awareness of WCIG by developing and strengthening new and existing relationships with local organisations. Your experience in business research will aid in the planning and development of a strategic regional database. You will use your skills in community engagement/marketing to develop and implement strategic action plans within budget requirements.
About you:
- Tertiary qualifications and/or experience in Community engagement/Marketing is preferred
- Knowledge of the Disability sector, including the NDIS and DES is an advantage
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to research, analyse and interpret data
- Excellent organisation and time management skills to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to work according to operational guidelines with an emphasis on quality and compliance.
