About the Opportunity
We currently have a full-time (8 month contract) position vacant in a High Support Group Home located in Oxley Park.
We are looking for a supportive, reliable, highly motivated and energetic Support Worker to work with 4 females with an Intellectual Disability.
This position requires commitment to working within a structured program and understanding of the importance of routines designed to meet the individual needs of the participants.
About You
What we are looking for:
- Willingness to work across a range of shifts including split shifts, weekends & sleep over shifts
- Willingness to assist with personal care including showering and toileting
- Ability to adhere to manual handling procedures when using wheelchairs, hoists and mechanical lifting equipment
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively within a team
- Demonstrated ability to maintain professional and accurate client records
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain links with families & agency stakeholders
- Current driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle
- Although not essential, experience working with people who require assistance with their mobility would be of an advantage
- Current Working with Children Check
Remuneration
Level 2 of the SCHADS Award. In addition Salary Packaging is available to the successful applicant which can increase take home pay substantially.
