About Souths Cares
Souths Cares is a not-for-profit charity organisation affiliated with the South Sydney Rabbitohs Football Club. Souths Cares charter is to support disadvantaged and marginalised youth and their families through the delivery of capacity building programs addressing education, training, health and employment needs.
Souths Cares is currently recruiting for the position of Program Support Officer.
Main Responsibilities
- Liaise with various stakeholders regarding the delivery of Souths Cares School to Work Program.
- Develop, maintain and service key relationships with students/youth.
- Act as a mentor to students involved in the School to Work program and other identified programs.
- Assist with the delivery of Souths Cares programs both locally and regionally as identified.
- Support and promote Souths Cares programs and events.
- General administrative duties including record keeping and reporting tasks as required by senior management.
- Maintain a Client Management System.
- Other adhoc duties as required.
Measures of Performance
- Number of students registering and successfully completing the School to Work Program.
- Successful School to Work Transition program delivery with measurable outcomes as identified in relation to Souths Cares KPI's.
- Develop a positive working relationship with all school staff, students and parents involved in the program.
- Mentor students and prepare written reports by way of individual case management files on the students progress.
- Record, collate, analyze and report on the ongoing progress of each program.
Desirable Attributes
- Must have an understanding and awareness of Indigenous culture and issues; particularly those issues effecting Indigenous youth.
- Outstanding communication skills and able to relate to people at all levels.
- Relevant qualifications and/or experience.
- A sound level of MS Office and able to provide accurate and detailed reports.
- An outstanding work ethic and the ability to display attention to detail and meet deadlines.
- Compulsory – must have working with Children check clearance & current NSW Driver's Licence.
- This is an identified Aboriginal position under Section 9A of the NSW Anti Discrimination Act 1977.
