Hi, I am a 40 year old female whose life changed dramatically 6-7 years ago after I suffered multiple strokes that have left me a quadriplegic.

Until that point I was a hairdresser and then a primary school teacher. Whilst I do have some mobility, I do need help with other physical aspects of my day to day living. Simple activities that other's may take for granted I now need assistance with. Such activities include but are not limited to:
-Brushing and styling my hair
-Toileting and showering
-Dressing 
-Food preparation 
-Housework
-Traveling to appointment or social outings. 

Due to my physical limitations, all tasks require TWO support workers at all times during the shift. 

My week's are filled with physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, acupuncture, massage therapy and other social outings which you would attend and assist me with.

Some of my personal goals that you would be a part of are:
-Continuing my progress with strengthening my body to be able to walk assisted
-Continuing to be more involved in the running of the house; paying bills, grocery shopping and food preparation.
-Getting out of the house to attend varies activities such as; movies, shopping, bowling...
-Getting back into the classroom

To be successful in this position you will also need to have:
-A current WWVP card 
-Manual handling or be willing to complete the course
-Certificate III (or above) in aged care and/or disability
-Current first aid certificate 
-full open unrestricted drivers licence

Due to my current weekly commitments the day's and hours I need are as follows:

MONDAY - 5AM TO 5PM
TUESDAY - alternating fortnights 9.30AM TO 5.30PM and 10AM TO 6PM 
WEDNESDAY - 7.30AM TO 9.30AM (PC)
THURSDAY - 9AM TO 6PM 
FRIDAY - 10AM TO 5PM 
SATURDAY - 9AM TO 7PM 

There will also be potential of evening shifts 5PM TO 11PM 
As well as sleep over shifts 11PM TO 7AM

As this is a casual position you may be required for hours including but not limited to day day time, evening and sleepover shifts both weekday's and weekend's. 
We are looking for someone with availability across these shifts.

Pay rate: $30 per hour
Plus evening, weekend and public holiday penalty rates apply.
