We are recruiting for an experienced Youth and Family Case Worker to work in the Inner West of Sydney for an excellent charitable organisation who provide a range of support and services to vulnerable people in the community. The focus of this role is to provide case management to Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal Youth and their families who are at risk from things such as mental health illness, social isolation, domestic violence, child protection concerns and family conflict.

The position is part time (3 days a week) and permanent.
  
Duties:

• Provide strengths based case management services to youth and families
• Identify risks and provide structured support
• Facilitating groups for parents and young people
• Building strong relationships with the community and other community focussed organisations
• Identify and encourage initiatives which support young people to stay connected to family, school and community
• Provide cultural support
• Support the wider team

Requirements

• A relevant university degree in Social Work, Psychology or a related area
• Previous case management experience, working with youth or families at risk
• Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander adolescents and families
