About the position
An exciting opportunity exists for an Activities Assistant to join the client care team to assist with the implementation and evaluation of activity programs and the development of innovative approaches to meeting the individual needs of clients.
With a Certificate 3 in Home and Community Care or equivalent, the ideal candidate will be experienced in the delivery of social activity programs and relating to a diverse range of people. Experience in working with people with dementia will be highly regarded.
A current driver's licence is essential.

About the role
To conduct centre based individual and group programs that are respectful and reflective of the goals and priorities of the clients
To liaise with the Team Leader to determine the strengths, skills, interests and care needs of clients
To ensure all clients have an up to date assessment and service plan
Skills and experience
Certificate 4 in Lifestyle and Leisure or equivalent
Experience working with older people especially with dementia
Ability to demonstrate and experience in the delivery of social activity programs in a way that supports clients independence
Current Food Handling Certificate
Current First Aid Certificate with CPR
Ability to speak a second language will be highly regarded
