As a family caseworker/case manager you will be working to assist vulnerable Aboriginal and Tores Strait Islander identifying families in parenting capacity, provide direct supports and link to external services to ensure a safe home and that the child's needs are being met.
The ideal worker will have a minimum of 1 years' experience in early intervention, community outreach, OOHC, Child Protection or related environments to support at risk children and their families. You will develop, implement and review family case plans and liaise with external service providers and the broader community to create a holistic care environment .

Your daily expected duties:
- Use strength based framework to increase children's and families network resilience.
- Work in a collaborative manor to address broader community concerns and family needs.
- Working collaboratively with other internal services and external stakeholders, including external support programs to build client networks.
- Developing client case management plans and implementation of them alongside other key stakeholders.
- Ability to concisely and accurately record all key interactions and case notes.
- Visiting locations and working at times on an In home development basis.
What you need to be successful:
- Diploma level qualifications in Social work, community services, mental health/psychology or related field.
- Experience with at risk families and children in either early intervention, community outreach, child protection or out of home care related setting.
- Understanding of child protection issues, key risk factors and the effect of trauma on childhood development.
- Valid Driver's License.
