We are pleased to announce our partnership with Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service in the development of a new purpose built mental health facility in Bundaberg. This new short term residential service will provide alternatives to hospital admission and is for people of Maryborough, Hervey Bay, Bundaberg and the rural and coastal communities in the Wide Bay area.
We now have multiple Community Mental Health Practitioner (CMHP) positions available on a full time basis. The Community Mental Health Practitioner works alongside customers on their recovery journey. In partnership with Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service, the CMHP will deliver high quality, recovery oriented, direct psycho-social support through individual and group work to customers and their families and carers, consistent with Mind organisational values and model of recovery oriented practice.
As part of the team at Mind you will:
- Work full time, 38 hours per week on a fixed term contract
- Work on a 24 hour rotating roster working across all shifts which include days, evenings, weekends, nights, and sleepover shifts.
- Enable customers to identify goals to work towards during their stay at the Step Up Step Down facility
- Develop an Individual Recovery Plan to support their goals
- Enable customers to learn or re-learn skills and strategies necessary to live independent and fulfilling lives in the community, supporting relationships with families and carers and connect to their community
- Casual & Part time positions also available
You will have:
- Tertiary qualifications (minimum certificate IV) in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or other health related field as designated by Mind
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working within a recovery oriented framework
- A positive attitude to the work
