An outstanding temporary opportunity has become available with a respected NFP organisation in Wollongong. BRC are looking for an experienced Senior Case Manager / Social Worker responsible for a complex case load. Within this role you will provide intensive support to refugees and asylum seekers that have experienced loss, trauma, post-traumatic stress and mental illness. An exciting opportunity if you are seeking an rewarding role!
Main duties:
- Provide case management to clients including but not limited to; completing intake assessments and facilitating referrals to relevant agencies.
- Work collaboratively with CALD clients to provide interventions designed to address their needs.
- Undertaking advocacy and liaison on behalf of clients.
- Managing own caseload efficiently and effectively whilst remaining a team member.
Essential Criteria:
- Demonstrate considerable knowledge and experience of trauma informed approaches in addition to experience supporting complex needs such as mental health and child protection issues.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Social Science or a relevant subject with a focus on domestic violence, refugee/asylum seeker or sexual assault.
- Applicants must be able to demonstrate experience in casework, referrals, information services and assessments to clients with complex needs.
