Your Opportunity

In this role you will be part of a project where the overall goal is to improve the outcomes of disadvantaged children.   The Collective Impact Facilitator (CIF) will be a critical friend and technical advisor to Communities for Children (CFC) site, with the aim of enhancing how the CFC sites function.  Key responsibilities include:

  • Mobilise and sustain change within the community by utilising prevention science methods
  • Unpack community issues to identify strategies to address them early, with a focus on the identification of risk and protective factors
  • Help develop the data to support and justify programming choices
  • Support coalition members to identify appropriate and measureable behavioural outcomes
  • Support the training needs of the coalition, especially capacity building in collaboration and collective Impact/partnership building
  • Build positive relationships across MA at the site level and national support teams as well as Griffith University teams

Position Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree within related field such as education, human services, community/ organisational psychology, or similar field
  • 5 years’ experience working in the NGO sector, preferably with young children
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships with people from diverse backgrounds
  • The capacity to an effective change agent
  • Ability to develop a working knowledge of prevention science methods

Also desirable would be project management experience, a good understanding of data/data analysis and knowledge of relevant sectors (NGOs, government departments, and schools) especially with respect to welfare, educational and early year’s issues.
