Experienced case manager / case worker to act in a team head capacity within youth homelessness and crisis refuge service. Being able to oversee and help develop skills of junior staff is highly desirable.
The focus of the role is to help stabalise adolescents and young adults who are at risk or experiencing homelessness, into independent living arrangements within an 18 month period stay limit. You will also help build team capacity and guide more junior team members in their caseloads.
This role provides applicants with the ability to be in a senior team position in early management whilst engaging directly with their own client load. The ability to mentor and develop junior staff but not having to handle direct reporting responsibilities, giving you more freedom in the position. This role has a therapeutic focus on the
stabilization of adolescent and young adult clients aged 17 to 25 years.

Daily tasks and duties:
- Implementation of pathways to independence case plans.
- Monitor client progression and suitability of accommodation arrangements.
- Mentoring, coaching junior staff and supporting practitioners on how to implement strength based frameworks.
- Supporting and directly assisting lower level practitioners with their own challenging cases.
- Accurate documentation of all client and community interaction.
- Positive engagement with the local community and clients broader network to create community ties and support.
- Assist clients in engaging with wrap around services for a holistic care approach.
- Reporting of child protection and safety issues and ability to identify and address risk of harm events.
About you for application success:
- Minimum 3 years Case Management experience, preferably in youth homelessness or crisis accommodation settings.
- Degree qualified in psychology, community services, social work or relevant field.
- A commitment to own learning, professional development and knowledge sharing with colleagues.
- Clear understanding of mandatory reporting procedures.
- Excellent relationship building skills and familiarity working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and CALD communities.
- Current valid driver's license.
