Aboriginal Community Engagement Project – Child Protection Reform
$78,072 to $81,530
Note: Due to the specific nature of this role, we are seeking an Aboriginal person to fill the position.
You
Will be an excellent and well recognised facilitator, mediator and educator. You will be able to develop and sustain long lasting partnerships with stakeholders across the child protection system and with Aboriginal communities. You will be resilient, persistent in your approach and very knowledgeable around child protection reform.
Your New Role
Will keep you busy! You will be pivotal in developing, coordinating and delivering a series of Aboriginal community forums that focus on child protection reform. The role requires strong relationship building and communication skills and an ability to work with a diverse range of groups and communities. You will engage with a range of stakeholders and be required to travel to Port Augusta at least 6 times a year. You will have extensive experience in working with Aboriginal people and with Aboriginal organisations on topics that can be emotionally charged and sensitive. Based in AFSS Head Office, this role will require a highly motivated, organised and efficient person.
You Will Need
- A Child Related Employment Screening (CRES)
- A current Drivers Licence
- A Child Safe Environments Certificate
- Eligibility to work in Australia
