About the Opportunity
We are looking for a supportive, reliable, highly motivated and energetic Team Leader with excellent leadership and organisational skills to work with 5 young males with Intellectual Disability. We are looking for someone with great interpersonal skills that will mentor and encourage these young men to increase their independent living skills in areas such as public transport use, community access and other areas of daily living.
About You
What we are looking for:
- Experience in supervising a team
- Experience in supporting individuals with Intellectual Disability
- Experience supporting individuals with challenging behaviours
- Professional experience in youth work will be highly valued
- Ability to effectively plan and prioritise workload
- Demonstrated ability to create and adhere to structured routines
- Demonstrated ability to maintain professional and accurate client records
- Competent decision making skills
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain links with families
- Willingness to work across a range of shifts; including Sundays, evening and sleepover shifts
- Willingness to be On call (phone provided)
- Current driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle
- Current Working with Children Check

Remuneration
Level 3 of the SCHADS Award. In addition Salary Packaging is available to the successful applicant which can increase take home pay substantially.
