UnitingCare West provides a broad suite of person-centred supports for people who are at risk of marginalisation. My Home provides community-based shared accommodation living options and support for people with disabilities.

We are currently looking for a personable, efficient and hands on Team Leader to work alongside our existing My Home Team Leaders, supporting teams of community support workers, coordinating day to day running of the My Home program and supporting the enhancement of the quality of life of adults with disabilities in a safe and supportive environment with a focus on individual needs, maximum choice and control via a person-centred approach.

As part of this role you will be supporting My Home staff through a framework of facilitation and development that fosters a culture of learning, accountability and continuous service improvement as well as facilitates the development of effective engagement with families and other key stakeholders.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Demonstrate proven experience in facilitating teams and coordinating programs
  • Ideally hold relevant qualifications in social work or disability services
  • Have a working knowledge of person–centred theories and practices underpinning the provision of services to people with disabilities
  • Possess excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
  • Have a proven ability to work in a pressured environment with many conflicting and changing priorities
  • Be able to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.

You must have or be able to obtain a current National Police Clearance, First Aid Certificate and have a current C class driver’s licence for this position.
