About the Role

In this role you will provide information, advocacy and referral services to clients within the Bowen and Collinsville area who are experiencing financial difficulties as well as considering the underlying barriers contributing to the financial issues.  An important focus for the role is to strengthen access to programs, products and services as alternatives to high interest loans.

  • Explore, develop and implement strategies for addressing financial issues with clients
  • Assisting clients to improve their knowledge and skills of money management and supporting them to develop positive and sustainable financial behaviours, building financial literacy.
  • Assist with the development of policies and procedures relevant to financial resilience

About You

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • Relevant qualifications pertaining to financial resilience
  • Ability to advise and provide financial information to families and individuals to assist in the resolution of financial issues at various levels including crisis intervention, intake and planned sessions
  • Ability to obtain a positive notice Blue and Yellow card and a current C class licence
