We are a well-regarded not-for-profit, values based organisation, offering residential, community and in-home aged care for over 30 years, to older people living in and around the municipality of Manningham.
An opportunity exists within our Community Respite & Social Support service for part-time Respite Support Workers to work within our highly regarded program. The role would suit candidates with experience in leisure and lifestyle activities and/or suitable qualifications who are flexible to provide personal care for our clients in a home like community setting.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Cert III or IV in Leisure and Lifestyle or Diversional Therapy or similar
- A current Victorian drivers' licence and police check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Ability to follow direction and comply with Regulatory Compliance and Rights and Responsibilities in Community Services, in line with the Home Care Standards
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Demonstrated experience with planning and implementing activities and programs for older people, including those living with dementia.
- Experience or capacity to perform personal care duties in a community home like environment,
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and time management skills
- Sound computer skills
- Knowledge of OH&S requirements and responsibilities, including infection control, food handling and emergency procedures
