A little about the high performing and fun Field Impact Team at World Vision Australia:

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a talented Grant Acquisition and Design Specialist to showcase their capabilities in our high performing team to lead the pursuit of prioritised funding opportunities to drive growth in World Vision’s impact, influence and income.

This is done through building and maintaining close relationships with country office counterparts, actively supporting donor pre-positioning efforts, and leading the process of designing high-quality and innovative concepts, program designs, proposals and tender responses. 

What success looks like?

The Grant Acquisition team is a core contributor to the program development objectives of Field Impact, World Vision Australia’s field-facing division.  For this position to make maximum impact, you will have a true passion for international development and proven experience in grant acquisition and management, program design for international development programs, technical solution development, partnering with government and multilateral donors, leadership and coordination of project teams, experience working in developing country contexts or business development experience in a relevant sector or industry.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Lead project design and proposal development to pursue funding opportunities with government and multilateral donors
• Lead opportunity identification, assessment, pre-positioning strategy development and implementation
• Understanding of monitoring and evaluation
• Relationship management and partnering and facilitation
• Project management, scheduling and organising
• Research, data and information gathering and analysis
• Understanding of key challenges in international development, and appreciation of community-led development approaches
• Postgraduate qualifications or equivalent experience, in International Development, Economics, Public Health, Evaluation

This is a permanent role operating in a full time capacity and will be based at our head office in East Burwood, Victoria.
