$90,678.64 pro-rata per annum (including Port Hedland Allowance)

The planning team at the Town of Port Hedland are crafting a few projects to complement our growing town and to improve the local community experience. To achieve this, we are bringing together bright minds looking to take on this exciting challenge.

About the role:

In this new created role at the Town, you will assist with the day to day responsibilities of Development Services in ensuring objectives are effectively achieved, legislative requirements are satisfied and a quality service is delivered to stakeholders. This position will complete duties under the direct supervision of the Principal Town Planner, and will receive ongoing guidance and support in the application of tasks.

To be successful in this role, you will need knowledge of relevant legislation, policy and ability to interpret appropriate application to facilitate compliance. We are seeking an individual who will thrive in a close knit team and has the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the business as well as external organisations. Candidates with Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning, Building Surveying, Environment, Law or equivalent experience in either private or public sector are encouraged to apply.
