An exciting opportunity has emerged within our Social Support team as Manager in our new Forensic Mental Health in Community Health Program.
You will be based in Ballarat but there is travel included in the role across our catchment area within the Grampians Region.
The Opportunity:
As the Manager - Forensic Mental Health in Community Health (FMHiCH) you will provide clinical and operational leadership to the FMHiCH team under the direction of the General Manager Social Support.
You will be recognised as an expert in the delivery of community based, mental health and forensic services. You will lead a cohesive team (working across the Grampians Region and staff employed at BADAC and GCH) that:
- Provides evidence informed individual assessments, support and group work of a high standard
- Works collaboratively across program staff
- Develops strong working relationships with relevant agencies and other program areas
- Constantly evaluates program practices
As the Manager you will ensure that the program meets all set milestones and regular reporting processes including reports to the steering committee.
Requirements of the role:
- Registered Division 1 Nurse with additional qualifications in Mental Health Nursing or Registered Psychiatric Nurse;
- Experience in providing mental health interventions and treatment; and
- Experience in leading and developing staff
