The Role
We are seeking an ambitious, passionate and results driven leader for the position of Senior Manager Early Years and Youth This position is accountable for the operational and financial management of all services within the Children and Family Services portfolio; covering a number of programs and services including Inclusion Support Program, Family Day Care HIPPY, Out of School Hours Care, just to name a few.
The position has four manager/coordinator level direct reports and indirect responsibility for a workforce approximately 40 employees.
Selection Criteria
To be considered for this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following experience and abilities:
- Experience leading and managing the operational, human resource and financial performance of a multi-function department; preferably in family and children’s services sector.
- Ability to inspire workforce engagement and maintain a high-performance culture.
- Expert understanding of key areas including sector trends, social policy issues, vulnerability, at risk groups and person-centred approaches.
- Previous experience managing compliance and evidence-based outcomes for Government awarded contracts.
- Managing complex requirements of key stakeholder groups to ensure highly effective relationships.
- Demonstrated understanding of risk management and safety practices.
- Highly effective communication and relationship management skills, coupled with a collaborative and influential management style.
The successful person will have achieved a tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology or related discipline.
