Who are we?

We employ over 600 people across 68 sites in NSW and support clients with low, moderate, high and very high support needs across all disabilities and backgrounds, in both group and individual programs.
The role
Due to continued growth and expansion Challenge Community Services is currently looking for a dedicated and passionate full-time Supervisor to join our Disability Support/Mental health team based at in Horsley/Wollongong.
This role works closely with our team who support for people with varying needs in our Challenge Accommodation, providing around the clock support to people with a disability or mental illness. This position will be responsible for a number of homes, supervising staff and leading the team to success.
This role will be based in the Wollongong area however for the first 6 months training you will be required to work in Oran Park.

The Essentials
- Previous experience in leading and supporting a team
- Previous experience in the disability support or mental health sector
- You’ll be able to build and maintain strong relationships with others
- A demonstrable ability to work well both autonomously and with a team
- Able to be flexible and to work non-standard hours as required
- A current NSW Working With Children’s check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
- Unencumbered NSW driver’s license
A qualification in Human Services, Certificate IV or Diploma in Community Services is highly desirable for this position, although not essential.
