Do you have what it takes to be a Community Mental Health Practitioner with one of Australia’s leading mental health providers? Join our team at the Peer Recovery Community (PRC) located in Albert Park. The PRC provides individualised recovery oriented services in a residential setting where people with mental ill health can learn new skills, be socially included and learn to manage their mental and physical health.
As part of the team at Mind you will:
- work part time, 30.6 hours per week on a fixed term contract until 30 June 2019
- work within a 7 day per week rotating roster including weekends, afternoon and evening shifts
- provide individualised, goal directed, support to residents of the PRC as well as practical assistance with day to day living
- develop rapport and trusting relationships with clients while supporting them through transition processes
- plan and develop group work programs that will assist customers to build their skills and focus on their recovery
- assist client to build networks and support which will help them once they have exited the service
You will have:
- tertiary qualifications (minimum certificate IV) in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or other health related field as designated by Mind
- experience working within a recovery oriented framework
- the ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- a resourceful and positive approach to a changing environment
