About the opportunity
We have a full time position available in the Southern Adelaide Region, where you will provide advocacy and coaching to our clients as they seek employment.
Your focus will be to manage a caseload of people with a disability, injury or health condition by providing tailored and comprehensive job services with the end goal of them obtaining meaningful and sustainable employment.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Provide tailored support, and facilitate client development to overcome their barriers to employment
- Provide practical interview coaching, application support and job seeking support
- Negotiate employment opportunities on behalf of participants by utilising wage subsidies and other available initiatives
- Provide Post Placement Support to employers and participants linking them to intervention services, allied health providers etc.
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrable experience supporting the disability sector
- Clear compassion, patience and natural communicator
- Ability to build rapport and maintain effective relationships with job seekers, employers and other key stakeholders
- Current drivers' licence
- Current first aid Certificate
- Relevant formal qualifications will be advantageous but not essential
