Male Community Support Workers - Multi Skilled
Southern Districts Support is not-for-profit organisation, providing a broad range of services to seniors, people with a disability and their carers who wish to remain living independently at home.
We are seeking male Community Support Workers with previous experience, to join our team in providing community based supports for male clients living in their own homes, to supporting them to remain independent. We are looking for committed people who would be available for the following times:
Mon-Fri
- 8am – 5pm
- In the Canning Vale area
Flexibility with travel is required.
Duties will include:
- Providing personal care to clients, which will include assistance with showering, dressing as well as other aspects of personal care
- Use of hoists
- Providing medication support
- Assisting client with all aspects of nutritional support
Essential
- Certificate III in Aged or Community Services
- Current First Aid certificate (or willing to obtain one)
- Medication Competency
- Previous experience in using hoists
- A valid non-provisional driving licence
- Access to a reliable safe vehicle appropriate to transport clients (if required).
- All applicants must have a suitable National Police Certificate no older than 6 months or be willing to obtain one
Desirable
- Two years' experience in a community or residential aged care setting
