As a Christian organisation, with a heritage of service spanning 160 years, we serve people who are vulnerable or marginalized by providing a range of accommodation, care and community services.
About the role:
To assist with providing case work support to participants with mental health needs that will provide them with the skills and confidence necessary to manage their mental illness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the participants with establishing strong links within the local area.
- Develop resources that promote and advertise the service to participants, local forums and other community organisations.
- Provide participants with support through social and recreational activities.
- Supporting participants to work toward their identified goals ensuring that their individual needs are met. This includes assisting with group activities as required.
- Ensure a full participant caseload is maintained by working within funding guidelines and program targets
- Complete and maintain appropriate participant documentation and statistical information.
- Ensures ongoing professional development by attending relevant training, forums, courses and other professional development activities as agreed with Manager.
Please note: Our hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
Minimum Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications such as Certificate III in Community Services or studying towards higher level qualifications which may include social welfare.
- NSW Drivers licence
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Desirable - experience in art facilitation or production
- Good understanding of mental health
