yourtown is a charity with services young people can access to find jobs, learn skills, become great parents and live safer happier lives. We are one of the largest not-for-profit providers of services for young people in Australia with sites across Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia, and Tasmania.
Transition to Work is a service designed to support young people aged 15-21 on their journey to employment. The service provides intensive, pre-employment support to improve the work-readiness of young people and help them into work (including apprenticeships and traineeships) or further education.
As a Recruitment Consultant, you will be part of a team that works together with the young person, employers, educational providers and other community stakeholders, to identify and provide a “win-win” service that meets everyone’s needs: employment or an employment pathway for the job seeker, and employable candidates for businesses.
This is a Fixed Term position until 25/01/2019
The Recruitment Consultant will build and manage mutually beneficial relationships to facilitate participants being placed into employment and education outcomes that are consistent with their individual needs and abilities.
Successful applicants will:
- Enhance the chance of employment for young people by focusing on their strengths and abilities.
- Be willing and able to work to targets and achieve outcomes
- Be eligible to obtain a NSW ‘Working With Children Check ’
- Maintain a satisfactory National Criminal History Check
- Believe that what we do really makes a difference.
As a national child safe organisation, yourtown will undertake a National Criminal History Check as part of this recruitment process.
