The RSPCA NSW is Australia's preeminent animal welfare organisation. We provide a strong voice for animals experiencing cruelty and neglect. The RSPCA is committed to the care and welfare of animals, providing extensive professional facilities, including fully equipped veterinary hospitals and our state-wide shelter network, with approximately 500 staff across NSW to care for animals.

Our Sydney office is now looking for a Home Ever After (HEA) Coordinator to join the Gifts in Wills team on a full time, permanent basis. A specialised rehoming program, HEA provides peace of mind for pet owners should their animals survive them. Although this position is based out of Yagoona, the successful candidate will be expected to work on a mobile basis.

The HEA Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the HEA program delivers a steady stream of prospects, confirmed bequestors (people who have included RSPCA NSW in their Will), and income over time. HEA Coordinators maintain meaningful relationships with enrolees in the program, and organise the assessment, annual updates, transport, care, and adoption follow-up for all animals in HEA.

Major responsibilities of a Home Ever After Coordinator include;

• Managing communications with HEA enrolled supporters
• Building, developing and nurturing strong relationships with prospects and enrolees
• Identifying and acquiring new enrolees in the HEA program
• Securing gifts in Wills pledges from HEA enrolees
• Assessing all animals who are seeking entrance into the HEA program
• Undertaking transport, care and post-adoption follow-ups for all HEA animals and animals remaining from old “Pet Legacy” program
• Liaise with shelters, Drive For Lives, veterinarians and other stakeholders to manage HEA animals
• Working directly with the Gift in Wills Manager to develop and maintain strategic direction
• Maintain electronic and physical records for all enrolees and their pets
• Contributing to and participating in HEA prospecting strategies
• Maintaining streamlined processes to maximise return and minimise expenses
• Working with other HEA Coordinators to ensure consistent program delivery
• Supporting the stewardship of Confirmed Bequestors as required.
• Assist and support the Gift in Wills Manager as required.

To be successful in this role, candidates will possess the following skills and experience;

• Certificate II in Animal Studies
• Gifts in Wills fundraising experience highly desirable
• Highly developed interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to inspire others and build relationships with a variety of people
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise own workload; work independently and within a team environment and meet deadlines whilst maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
• Demonstrated ability to work remotely while maintaining professional standards, good standing and connection within the team and achieving goals
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent listening skills displaying patience, tolerance and sensitivity towards all persons, enquirers and other professionals
• Ability to efficiently manage complex, sensitive, and confidential information
• Experience in meeting operational plans
• Experience in working autonomously
