About TaskForce
Since 1973, TaskForce has provided specialist support for people in serious need in Victoria. Our core services focus on addressing social issues of addiction, unemployment, mental health and high risk taking behaviours, supporting our clients to transition back into “mainstream” services and supports. TaskForce delivers services via three connected streams: specialist AOD services to support people who use drugs and their families, youth retention and re-engagement with education, training and employment, and specialist training through RTO status to enhance the capacity of AOD and other workers to support effective delivery of community-based services.

TaskForce is a leading provider of Driver Education Programs in Victoria and has been assisting people to restore their licences through the provision of both Drink and Drug Drive Education Programs for the past 3 years.

The Drink and Drug Driver Behaviour Change Programs
From August 2018, the new Drink and Drug Driver Behaviour Change Program Services will involve the delivery of up to three programs for clients:

• Victorian Drink Driver program (6 hours)
• Victorian Drug Driver program (6 hours)
• Victorian Intensive Drink and Drug Driver program (10 - 12 hours)

About the position
TaskForce now has exciting opportunities for an AOD professional to join our client-centred teams, based in the south east of Melbourne. Reporting to the program coordinator, your responsibilities include intake and administration of the Behaviour Change Program to men and women to assist them to restore their licences. 

About you
You will have some experience in working with mandated clients in a mandated capacity, preferably in a group setting. You will have experience in the provision of assessment and counselling services to forensic AOD consumers, knowledge of harm minimisation, consumer-centered care, recovery-focused principles and well developed motivational interviewing techniques.  You will want to develop your skills and knowledge in the AOD space and be willing to work as a team player, in a small team. 

Mandatory skills, experience and qualifications:

• at least 1 years’ experience working with mandated clients and behavioural change interventions with a reputable drug and alcohol treatment provider
• Certificate IV in AOD and or Certificate IV in Mental Health or relevant

Naturally, you will have a genuine passion for working with people suffering from substance abuse and the ability to build a strong rapport with your clients.
