  • Minimum Certificate IV Disability or equivalent
  • Valid Victorian Drivers Licence essential
  • Police and DWES check (Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme) required

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing support to participants to improve their independence by assisting with living skills, transport, social activities, medication and personal care and other supports as required.
  • Recording evidence in participant's online journal for NDIS.
  • Keeping participants records up to date on a daily basis using our on-line systems.
  • Candidates who are skilled in managing behaviours of concern and familiar with behaviour support plans will be highly regarded.  Those with proven experience in working with people with autism are especially encouraged to apply.
  • Developing and maintaining professional relationships and networks with participants, families, caregivers and key stakeholders.
  • Seek out innovative ways to enhance the participant's journey.

You will also need:

  • Minimum Cert IV Disability or equivalent
  • Technical literacy with proven ability to use our on line systems for reporting (Supportability).
  • Valid Victorian Drivers Licence
  • A current First Aid Certificate Level 2.
  • Willingness to obtain an Australian Federal Police Check and Disability Workers' Exclusion Scheme (DWES) check.
  • Availability to work across a rotating roster both on and off site
  • Willingness to work extended hours (ie. after 3pm) and weekends
  • If you have lived out of Australia for more than 1 year in the last 10 years, an International Police check will need to be provided.
