The opportunity:

As part of Toll Group’s new growth strategy, an opportunity has become available within Toll’s Wellbeing team for a State Chaplain and Employee Support person to provide work place employee support through chaplaincy and wellbeing programs for Toll employees and their families.

The role is 1 day per week equivalent and a reasonable amount of flexibility is required due to the nature of the role. Some regional and interstate travel may also be required.

The Wellbeing Program:

Toll’s Wellbeing program was established using a work place chaplaincy model. This has recently been extended to include an overall wellbeing program. It provides a confidential support, referral and assistance program available to all employees and their families. Combined with EAP and other initiatives which make Toll a safer, better place to work, the Wellbeing program offers a service which is designed to provide pastoral care, assistance, or referral for personal or work related issues.

Examples of personal issues include family crisis, relationship or domestic problems, addiction issues, bereavement and grief, emotional difficulties, or any day to day concerns

Examples of Work related issues include conflict, absenteeism, communication, addressing change, performance issues, or any matters which affect individual or team’s performance and productivity.

The ideal employee:

The ideal employee will have an established track record in a similar role with the ability to work effectively in both corporate and operational environments. They can engage effectively with a wide group of individuals and organisations across a broad range of services and are available to accommodate varied working hours. Excellent written and oral communication skills along with a good understanding of mental health and its impact in the work place will be critical to success in the role.
