About the Role

We currently have a vacancy for a Home Care Coordinator at our Redfern Aged Care Plus Centre. This position is responsible for Coordinating home based services for our ageing Australians who live in South East Sydney, Inner West and South West Sydney. 

In the role of Home Care Coordinator, you will be responsble for coordinating in home care services for our ageing clients who live in their own homes in the community. The role entails rostering of services and responding to service requests and supports a small team of Home and Community Care Workers.  Reporting to and working closely with the Operations Manager, this position is an oppoprtunity to demonstrate and develop your ability to multi task, respnd to client service requests and coach and mentor a team of dedicated Care Workers.  The position will also hold accountability for, and consideration of the budgetary, continuous improvement, statuary requirements and human resource needs of the organisation.

 

About You

To be successful in this role, ideally you will have:

  • An appreciation of and the ability and willingness to promote, support and model the values and ethos of The Salvation Army and to facilitate pastoral support where required
  • Previous experience in a coordination role
  • Understanding of Aged Care legislation and industry accreditation standards 
  • Ability to roster
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to use systems
  • Ability to build excellent relationships with all stakeholders including clients, families and staff as well as external 
  • Hands on leader with a “can do” attitude - willingness and ability to lead by example
  • Passionate, resilient and proactive
  • Ability to be multi-task, work under pressure and be part of a team
  • Current unrestricted registration NSW Drivers license
