Full Time 37.5 hours per week

$63,699 to $75,629 per annum (Full Time Equivalent) (plus the ability to Salary Package)

About the role        

The Coordinator will provide leadership and direction to Team Leaders, Residential Care Workers, Community Support Officers and Leisure Buddies to ensure individuals lead a lifestyle of choice.

The position is responsible for:

  • Undertaking the Coordination of respite support to customers;
  • Ensuring the required supports and services are delivered in accordance with the National Standards for Disability Services and are person centered;
  • Liaising with families, guardians, Ability Centre colleagues, external service providers and funding bodies in relation to customers individual needs;
  • Leading a team of support workers to provide innovative and quality respite supports; and
  • Meeting Community Services KPI’s, growth and occupancy targets and ensuring the service operates within its allocated budget.

Skills and experience required

  • An ability to provide strong and effective leadership in a team environment;
  • The ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner whilst displaying a positive attitude with the capacity to inspire and motivate the team; and
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and develop and maintain relationships with individuals, parents, guardians, external service providers and work within a multidisciplinary team.
