About the position
The main focus of the position is to engage seniors from CALD background, especially Chinese, in understanding, accessing and using the community services to support them to live independently at home. Your excellent interpersonal skills will enhance MiCare’s position as a provider of choice particularly for migrant communities.
Location: Based in Kilsyth
Hours: 3 days (22.8) per week
MiCare is a NFP organisation so employees can benefit from salary packaging.
Qualifications and Experience
- Health professional ie. Nurse/ Allied Health/ Community
- Sound knowledge of home care sector
- Previous experience in community engagement and social support activities
Skills
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin or Cantonese
- Excellent customer service
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- An eye for detail, thoroughness in completing tasks
- Ability to communicate effectively with Service Users, Carers/family members, Support Workers, Service providers and stakeholders
- Victorian Drivers license
A police check with no disclosable outcomes is required by MiCare for this position
